The Canadian Quran Academy’s Noorani Qaida Course in Canada focuses on Arabic letter recognition (individual and positional forms), vowel mark application, and pronunciation accuracy. Students learn each of the 28 Arabic letters, their sounds, and how they connect in words. Lessons progress through voweled single letters, joined letters, Tanween, Sukoon, Madd, then complex word structures preparing students for Quranic reading.
Instructors teach Makharij basics—where each letter originates in the throat, tongue, or lips. The Canadian Quran Academy’s Noorani Qaida Course in Canada drills pronunciation until accuracy becomes automatic. Most English speakers swap ض (Daad) and ظ (Zaa) for the first three months—not because they can’t hear it, but because English has no equivalent distinction. Canadian students practice these sounds repeatedly with instructor correction before advancing.
The Canadian Quran Academy’s curriculum moves students through Noorani Qaida systematically: individual letters, vowel marks, letter combinations, then complex reading patterns preparing for Quranic text.
The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada introduces the 28 Arabic letters—ب, ت, ث through ي. Students practice sounds, names, and written forms until recognition is instant. Instructors demonstrate correct Makharij. Lessons progress to positional variations, showing how letters change shape at beginnings, middles, and ends. Canadian students quickly spot these patterns, enabling smooth Quran reading.
Students master Fatha, Kasra, and Damma vowel marks and how they modify pronunciation. Lessons progress to Sukoon, Tanween, and Shaddah. The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada ensures students apply these marks systematically before reading connected text. Canadian students decode unfamiliar words accurately, building strong reading skills that form the foundation for fluent Quranic recitation without guessing vowel sounds.
Students learn how Arabic letters connect—some join both sides, some only right, some never join. Noorani Qaida drills two-letter then three-letter combinations, gradually increasing complexity. Canadian students practice reading joined letters until decoding becomes automatic. This prepares them to read Quranic verses smoothly, transitioning from isolated letters to fluent word recognition essential for accurate and confident recitation.
Students learn natural Madd (vowel elongation) extending sounds two counts and when to apply it. Advanced lessons cover compound words, multiple vowels, and multi-syllable reading fluency. The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada ensures students complete practice words and sentences, demonstrating mastery. Canadian students transition confidently to actual Quranic text, reading with correct elongation and fluency for accurate recitation.
Outcomes
Students identify each Arabic letter in all forms, isolated, initial, medial, and final, without hesitation, distinguishing similar letters ب (Bāʼ), ت (Tāʼ), ث (Thāʼ), ح (Ḥāʼ), خ (Khāʼ), س (Sīn), ش (Shīn), ص (Ṣād), ض (Ḍād). The Canadian Quran Academy drills these until recognition becomes automatic, enabling smooth reading without pausing.
Students read voweled Arabic text accurately, pronouncing Fatha, Kasra, Damma, Sukoon, Tanween, and Shaddah correctly. They don't confuse vowel sounds or skip marks. The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada builds this through repetition. Canadian students decode unfamiliar voweled words accurately using learned rules, demonstrating true Arabic reading proficiency rather than memorization of specific words.
Students master throat letters ح (Ḥāʼ), ع (Ayn), ق (Qāf), خ (Khāʼ) and emphatic consonants ص (Ṣād), ض (Ḍād), ط (Ṭāʼ), ظ (Ẓāʼ), articulating each from its correct Makharij. Our Noorani Qaida Course in Canada trains students systematically, ensuring proper pronunciation develops before bad habits form, unlike learners without foundational Quran reading training.
Students read joined Arabic letters smoothly without breaking between characters. They recognize common letter combinations instantly and maintain reading flow. The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada develops this through progressive practice. Canadian students transition from sounding out individual letters to reading complete words naturally, achieving the fluency required for Quranic recitation.
Students complete Noorani Qaida with skills enabling independent Quran reading. They decode Quranic verses using learned letter recognition, vowel mark application, and joining rules. The Noorani Qaida Course in Canada prepares students thoroughly. Testimonials
Canadian students completing The Canadian Quran Academy's Noorani Qaida course achieve fluent Arabic reading, confident Quran engagement, and successful transition to advanced Tajweed and memorization programs.
Alhumdulilah my son 7yr old loves his Quran classes. Sheikh Nour Eddin Mohmoud is very interactive and makes it very interesting for my son. MashaAllah my son has progressed in his Tajweed learning, applying and memorizing. After so many teachers finally found Sheikh Nour who understands and communicate with parents and listens as to what exactly one is looking for their child. I really recommend this institute and sheikh Nour . InshaAllah I want my other son to start with Sheikh Nour as well. Hope this helps for anyone who is looking to get their kids to learn online.
Alhamdulillah this is a great place to learn Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. I took these three classes and gained a lot. They teach through zoom in one on one sessions where you decide the time and day. I used whatsapp as the communication and the coordinators were really responsive. For Quran, we would read the arabic together and then learn the tafsir. After that I would memorize the surah or a portion for the next class. For Arabic, it was a focus on vocabulary and conjugations of verbs. For Islamic studies you went through a text together. The teachers are really nice and you can ask anything. I found it enjoyable learning about a different culture as I was raised in America. Give it a try!
Real transformations from students who mastered the Quran with our courses
I took a course at Shaykhi Academy, and my name is Hamza Osama from England. During my time there, I learned the Arabic alphabet and Tajweed rules. I have also successfully memorized approximately two Juz of the Quran. My teacher was the best, and I feel I benefited a lot from him. I would advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language, Tajweed rules, or the Quran to join Shaykhi Academy.
I’m Yahia Sarhan, I’m 15 years old and I’m from Canada. I’ve been a student at Shaykhi Academy since 2019, so about three or four years now. It’s been a great learning opportunity for me and I’ve learned a lot about Islamic studies, the Quran, and Arabic reading. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s trying to learn.
