The Canadian Quran Academy’s Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal focus on Arabic alphabet recognition, letter joining rules, vowel mark identification (Fatha, Kasra, Damma), and accurate pronunciation through Noorani Qaida progression. Kids practice reading full words, then sentences, then complete Quranic verses. Lessons include short Surah memorization from Juz Amma alongside reading practice.
Children learn Makharij basics—where each Arabic letter originates in the mouth or throat. The Canadian Quran Academy’s Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal introduce Tajweed concepts like Noon Sakinah rules and letter elongation (Madd) once kids demonstrate solid reading fluency. Instructors correct pronunciation errors immediately, preventing bad habits from forming during early learning stages.
The Canadian Quran Academy’s curriculum moves kids from zero Arabic knowledge to independent Quran reading through structured, sequential lessons that build on previous learning.
Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal begin with individual Arabic letters: their names, shapes, and sounds. Kids practice writing each letter and pronouncing it correctly. Instructors drill the 28 Arabic letters until recognition becomes automatic. Lessons then introduce letter variations based on position—initial, medial, final, and isolated forms that appear throughout Quranic text.
Kids work through Noorani Qaida systematically: starting with voweled single letters, progressing to joined letters, then Tanween, then Sukoon. The Canadian Quran Academy’s Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal don’t rush this foundation. Each Noorani Qaida lesson requires mastery before advancing. Kids read practice words repeatedly until fluency develops, preparing them for actual Quranic text structure.
Children learn essential Tajweed rules: Noon Sakinah and Tanween rules (Idgham, Iqlab, Ikhfa, Izhar), Meem Sakinah rules, and basic Madd types. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal teach these through repetition and practical application during reading sessions. Kids hear correct pronunciation, repeat it, then receive immediate instructor feedback. Muscle memory develops through consistent practice, not theoretical rule memorization.
Kids memorize Surahs from Juz Amma: Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas, then progressively longer Surahs like Al-Kawthar and Al-Asr. The Canadian Quran Academy’s Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal combine memorization with meaning. Kids learn what each Surah discusses, building Islamic knowledge while strengthening Quran retention. Repetition techniques ensure long-term memorization, not temporary cramming.
Outcomes
Children progress from recognizing zero Arabic letters to reading complete Quranic pages without assistance. They sound out unfamiliar words using vowel marks and Tajweed knowledge. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal eliminate dependence on transliteration. Kids read Arabic text directly, applying learned rules automatically during daily practice sessions at home.
Children master throat letters (ح Haa, ع Ayn, ق Qaf) and emphatic letters (ص Saad, ض Daad, ط Taa, ظ Zaa) that don't exist in English or French. They distinguish between similar sounds English speakers confuse. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal drill these sounds early. Kids develop proper pronunciation before bad habits form, unlike adults who must unlearn incorrect patterns later.
Children retain 10-15 short Surahs from Juz Amma with correct pronunciation and Tajweed rules applied. They recite from memory during family prayers and Islamic gatherings. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal use spaced repetition—reviewing older Surahs while learning new ones. This prevents forgetting and builds confidence in public recitation settings across Montreal's Muslim community.
Children establish routine Quran practice: 15-20 minutes daily reading or reviewing memorized portions. They don't view Quran as schoolwork but as personal worship. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal make reading achievable, not overwhelming. Kids experience success quickly, which motivates continued practice beyond lesson times with parents or independently.
Children participate in Taraweeh prayers, Islamic school presentations, and family gatherings without hesitation. They recite clearly enough for others to follow along. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal prepare kids for public recitation through regular instructor feedback and correction. This social confidence strengthens their Islamic identity within Montreal's multicultural environment.
Children understand basic Surah meanings, prophetic stories, and Islamic moral lessons embedded in memorized verses. They connect Quranic teachings to daily behavior expectations. Quran Classes for Kids in Montreal integrate brief Tafsir explanations appropriate for young minds. Kids see Quran as guidance, not just text to decode, strengthening long-term engagement with Islamic learning.

Testimonials
Montreal kids completing The Canadian Quran Academy's Quran classes achieve independent reading, confident public recitation, and strong memorization skills that support lifelong Islamic learning and community participation.
Alhumdulilah my son 7yr old loves his Quran classes. Sheikh Nour Eddin Mohmoud is very interactive and makes it very interesting for my son. MashaAllah my son has progressed in his Tajweed learning, applying and memorizing. After so many teachers finally found Sheikh Nour who understands and communicate with parents and listens as to what exactly one is looking for their child. I really recommend this institute and sheikh Nour . InshaAllah I want my other son to start with Sheikh Nour as well. Hope this helps for anyone who is looking to get their kids to learn online.
Alhamdulillah this is a great place to learn Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. I took these three classes and gained a lot. They teach through zoom in one on one sessions where you decide the time and day. I used whatsapp as the communication and the coordinators were really responsive. For Quran, we would read the arabic together and then learn the tafsir. After that I would memorize the surah or a portion for the next class. For Arabic, it was a focus on vocabulary and conjugations of verbs. For Islamic studies you went through a text together. The teachers are really nice and you can ask anything. I found it enjoyable learning about a different culture as I was raised in America. Give it a try!
Real transformations from students who mastered the Quran with our courses
I took a course at Shaykhi Academy, and my name is Hamza Osama from England. During my time there, I learned the Arabic alphabet and Tajweed rules. I have also successfully memorized approximately two Juz of the Quran. My teacher was the best, and I feel I benefited a lot from him. I would advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language, Tajweed rules, or the Quran to join Shaykhi Academy.
I’m Yahia Sarhan, I’m 15 years old and I’m from Canada. I’ve been a student at Shaykhi Academy since 2019, so about three or four years now. It’s been a great learning opportunity for me and I’ve learned a lot about Islamic studies, the Quran, and Arabic reading. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s trying to learn.
