Students memorize at rates matching their capacity—some complete in two years, others in five—without pressure to match unrealistic timelines that cause burnout.

The Canadian Quran Academy’s Hifz Quran in Montreal focuses on new memorization (Sabaq), recent review (Sabqi), and old review (Manzil) through structured daily lessons. Students recite memorized portions to instructors who correct pronunciation, Tajweed errors, and retention gaps. Lessons include techniques for retaining verses long-term, not just short-term cramming before recitation sessions.
Instructors teach specific memorization methods: repetition patterns, visualization techniques, verse-by-verse breakdown, and connection strategies that link new portions to previously memorized content. The Canadian Quran Academy’s Hifz Quran in Montreal addresses common struggles—forgetting earlier Surahs while memorizing new ones, mixing similar verses, and maintaining motivation through lengthy Juz. Students learn sustainable Hifz habits, not rushed methods.
The Canadian Quran Academy’s Hifz curriculum implements time-tested memorization methodologies adapted to Montreal students’ schedules, native language backgrounds, and long-term retention needs.
Hifz Quran in Montreal uses the classical three-part review system: Sabaq (new memorization, typically 5-10 lines daily), Sabqi (last week’s memorization reviewed), and Manzil (older portions reviewed in rotation). Students recite all three sections to instructors each lesson. This prevents forgetting while adding new content. The Canadian Quran Academy’s instructors adjust portions based on individual retention capacity and schedule availability.
Students memorize with correct Tajweed from the start—proper Makharij, Noon Sakinah rules, Meem Sakinah applications, Madd elongations, and Qalqalah execution. Hifz Quran in Montreal doesn’t separate memorization from Tajweed. Instructors correct pronunciation errors immediately during recitation. Memorizing incorrectly requires painful unlearning later. Students build muscle memory for accurate recitation, not approximations requiring future correction.
The Canadian Quran Academy’s Hifz Quran in Montreal teaches proven memorization strategies: linking verses through meaning, identifying pattern breaks, using visualization for similar passages, and implementing spaced repetition schedules. Students learn why they forget and how to counteract it. Techniques include reciting without looking, writing from memory, and teaching portions to others—methods that expose weak retention before it becomes permanent forgetting.
Students track completed pages, current Juz position, daily Sabaq amounts, and review accuracy. The Canadian Quran Academy’s instructors monitor retention patterns: which Surahs weaken fastest, where Tajweed errors recur, and whether review schedules need adjustment. Hifz Quran in Montreal provides detailed feedback on recitation quality, not just quantity memorized. Students see objective progress data, motivating continued effort through years-long memorization.
Outcomes
Students complete full Hifz—all 30 Juz memorized and retained—within timeframes matching their individual capacity. They recite entire Quran from memory with minimal prompting. Hifz Quran in Montreal doesn't rush completion at the expense of retention. Students finish when they demonstrate solid recall of all portions, not when they hit arbitrary deadlines that guarantee future forgetting.
Students retain previously memorized Juz while memorizing new sections through systematic Manzil review. They don't experience the common problem: solid on recent memorization, weak on earlier Surahs. Hifz Quran in Montreal builds review schedules that prevent this. Students recite any Surah randomly requested, demonstrating genuine retention across the entire memorized portion, not just recent work.
Students apply Noon Sakinah rules, Meem Sakinah rules, Madd types, and Qalqalah automatically during recitation from memory. They pronounce throat letters and emphatic consonants correctly without conscious effort. Hifz Quran in Montreal integrates Tajweed mastery with memorization. Students don't memorize text requiring later pronunciation correction. Their recitation meets scholarly standards from the start.
Students confidently lead congregational prayers during Ramadan, reciting memorized portions clearly enough for worshippers to follow. They handle public recitation without anxiety or hesitation. Hifz Quran in Montreal prepares students for community leadership through instructor feedback on recitation clarity, pace, and Tajweed accuracy. This practical application strengthens their role in Montreal's Muslim community.
Students establish sustainable review routines that maintain memorization years after completion. They allocate daily time for recitation, preventing gradual forgetting that affects most Huffaz who abandon review. Hifz Quran in Montreal teaches maintenance strategies: minimum daily review amounts, rotation schedules, and accountability methods. Students understand Hifz requires ongoing commitment, not one-time achievement.
Students learn basic Tafsir for memorized verses: context, core meanings, and practical lessons. They connect Quranic guidance to daily challenges facing Montreal Muslims. Hifz Quran in Montreal integrates comprehension with retention—students don't just store sounds but understand what they've memorized. This deeper engagement strengthens motivation and spiritual connection throughout years-long memorization.

Testimonials
Montreal students completing The Canadian Quran Academy's Hifz program achieve full Quran memorization, lead Taraweeh prayers, and maintain lifelong review habits supporting their Islamic knowledge and community leadership.
Alhumdulilah my son 7yr old loves his Quran classes. Sheikh Nour Eddin Mohmoud is very interactive and makes it very interesting for my son. MashaAllah my son has progressed in his Tajweed learning, applying and memorizing. After so many teachers finally found Sheikh Nour who understands and communicate with parents and listens as to what exactly one is looking for their child. I really recommend this institute and sheikh Nour . InshaAllah I want my other son to start with Sheikh Nour as well. Hope this helps for anyone who is looking to get their kids to learn online.
Alhamdulillah this is a great place to learn Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. I took these three classes and gained a lot. They teach through zoom in one on one sessions where you decide the time and day. I used whatsapp as the communication and the coordinators were really responsive. For Quran, we would read the arabic together and then learn the tafsir. After that I would memorize the surah or a portion for the next class. For Arabic, it was a focus on vocabulary and conjugations of verbs. For Islamic studies you went through a text together. The teachers are really nice and you can ask anything. I found it enjoyable learning about a different culture as I was raised in America. Give it a try!
Real transformations from students who mastered the Quran with our courses
I took a course at Shaykhi Academy, and my name is Hamza Osama from England. During my time there, I learned the Arabic alphabet and Tajweed rules. I have also successfully memorized approximately two Juz of the Quran. My teacher was the best, and I feel I benefited a lot from him. I would advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language, Tajweed rules, or the Quran to join Shaykhi Academy.
I’m Yahia Sarhan, I’m 15 years old and I’m from Canada. I’ve been a student at Shaykhi Academy since 2019, so about three or four years now. It’s been a great learning opportunity for me and I’ve learned a lot about Islamic studies, the Quran, and Arabic reading. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s trying to learn.
