Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Shaykh Mahmoud Al-Assal, an Egyptian Qur’an scholar, graduated top of his class from Al-Azhar’s Alexandria Institute of Qirāʾāt. He holds numerous Ijāzāt in Tajwīd and the Ten Qirāʾāt, including major classical narrations, and has over 13 years of teaching experience, including online instruction for non-Arabic speakers. Since 2019, he has been Director and Senior Instructor at Shaykhi Academy, teaching advanced Qur’an and Arabic programs.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is an Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies scholar, Hafiz of the Qur’an, and Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy. He specializes in teaching Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic sciences online, authored the academy’s curriculum, and actively pursues professional development while effectively engaging younger students.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a distinguished Qur’an teacher and professional translator with a strong academic background from Al-Azhar University, three years of teaching and translation experience, early Qur’an memorization, multiple ijazāt, and five years of service as an imam.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Al-Azhar–trained Egyptian scholar, Hafiz of the Qur’an, and licensed Qur’an reciter with extensive experience teaching Tajweed and Arabic to non-native speakers.
Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher
Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar graduate and experienced Islamic studies teacher with a strong educational background, specializing in teaching the Qur’an and related sciences to students of all ages in an engaging and effective manner.

Mr. Abdullah Moftah is a qualified Qur’an teacher, Al-Azhar graduate, imam, and certified reciter of ‘Asim Barawiyyah.
Qur’an teacher
Mr. Nour Eddin Mahmoud, an Egyptian student at Al-Azhar University, memorized the Qur’an at 13 and holds multiple Ijazahs in Qur’an recitation and Hadith. Since 2021, he has taught both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, using clear explanations and educational games to make learning engaging for children.
Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher
Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly, an Egyptian medical student fluent in English and French, teaches Qur’an and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers and is experienced in self-development and institutional work.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman, an Al-Azhar graduate with over 10 years of experience, teaches Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic studies to children and women. She simplifies Tajweed rules, supports smooth memorization, and is known for her engaging, motivating teaching style. She holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry, 29, is an Arabic graduate and certified Qur’an teacher with online teaching experience. She has memorized key Qur’anic texts, participated in charitable work, and published two books—a short novel and a book of quotes.

Ms. Kholoud Hamada is an experienced Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt, fluent in Arabic and English, with strong expertise in Tajweed. Passionate and adaptable, she makes lessons engaging for learners of all ages. She holds an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal and is pursuing one in ‘Asim.

Asmaa Gohar is a certified Arabic and Islamic studies tutor from Egypt with 6+ years of experience teaching non-native speakers. She specializes in MSA, Egyptian Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic studies, using interactive, patient, and tailored teaching methods to make learning clear, engaging, and goal-oriented.
