The Canadian Quran Academy’s Quran classes for females in Mississauga follow a systematic progression through Noorani Qaida mastery, Tajweed application, Quranic recitation practice, and Islamic studies comprehension. Female instructors guide students through Arabic letter recognition, Makharij proficiency, pronunciation correction, and verse-by-verse Tafsir understanding tailored to individual learning speeds and goals.
Lessons address common challenges English-speaking women face with Arabic phonetics—particularly the distinction between similar sounds like ص and س, or ط and ت. Through recorded practice sessions, live feedback, and structured repetition, students build confidence in Quranic recitation while developing fluency in Classical Arabic grammar essential for understanding Quranic meanings.
The Canadian Quran Academy builds each module around measurable milestones rather than arbitrary timelines, allowing students to progress when mastery is demonstrated, not when weeks pass.
Female students begin with Arabic alphabet recognition and vowel mark application through Noorani Qaida methodology. Lessons focus on connecting individual letters into words, distinguishing short vowels from long vowels, and recognizing Sukoon and Shaddah marks. This foundational phase prevents pronunciation errors that later interfere with Tajweed rules and Quranic recitation accuracy.
Students learn Makharij (articulation points) for each Arabic letter, starting with sounds absent in English like ع, ح, and ق. The curriculum covers Ghunnah duration, Qalqalah application, Idgham rules, and Iqlab techniques. Female instructors demonstrate correct tongue placement and airflow control, then provide individualized correction through recorded recitation review and live practice sessions.
Memorization lessons follow proven methods combining repetition schedules, verse segmentation, and meaning association. Students memorize in manageable portions—typically three to five verses per session—then strengthen retention through spaced review intervals. The Canadian Quran Academy’s instructors teach connection techniques linking new verses to previously memorized sections, building long-term Quran memorization that withstands time.
Female students study verse meanings through Classical Arabic grammar analysis and historical context exploration. Lessons explain why specific words were chosen, how sentence structures convey multiple layers of meaning, and which rulings scholars derive from particular verses. This depth transforms Quranic recitation from pronunciation exercise into meaningful engagement with Islamic knowledge and spiritual understanding.
Outcomes
Students recite Quranic verses with correct Makharij, proper vowel lengths, and accurate Ghunnah application after completing Tajweed modules. They distinguish between similar Arabic sounds that English lacks, apply Idgham rules without hesitation, and recognize when Qalqalah occurs. This precision comes from repeated practice under instructor supervision, recorded self-review, and targeted correction of persistent pronunciation patterns.
Female students understand how Arabic sentence structures convey meaning in the Quran, identifying subjects, verbs, and objects within verses. They recognize grammatical patterns that signal past, present, or future tense, distinguish masculine from feminine forms, and understand how prepositions alter meanings. This grammatical foundation enables independent exploration of Tafsir texts and deeper Quranic understanding.
Students develop sustainable Hifz routines that accommodate work schedules, family responsibilities, and energy fluctuations. They learn when their memory peaks during the day, how many verses they can realistically memorize per session, and which review intervals prevent forgetting. The Canadian Quran Academy's instructors help women establish habits that persist beyond course completion.
Students connect Quranic verses to Islamic rulings, understand historical contexts that clarify meanings, and recognize thematic links between different Surahs. They learn which verses address specific life situations, how scholars interpret metaphorical language, and where theological concepts emerge in the text. This knowledge transforms Quran reading from ritual into informed spiritual practice.
Female students recite aloud without hesitation, correct their own errors mid-verse, and maintain composure when leading Salah or reciting publicly. They overcome self-consciousness about accent, release anxiety around making mistakes, and develop the calm focus needed for sustained recitation. This confidence emerges gradually through supportive correction and incremental success.
Students apply Quranic principles to parenting decisions, workplace ethics, community interactions, and personal growth challenges. They reference specific verses when navigating difficult situations, use Islamic knowledge to guide choices, and integrate spiritual practices into busy Canadian lifestyles. The Canadian Quran Academy's curriculum emphasizes practical application alongside technical proficiency.

Alhumdulilah my son 7yr old loves his Quran classes. Sheikh Nour Eddin Mohmoud is very interactive and makes it very interesting for my son. MashaAllah my son has progressed in his Tajweed learning, applying and memorizing. After so many teachers finally found Sheikh Nour who understands and communicate with parents and listens as to what exactly one is looking for their child. I really recommend this institute and sheikh Nour . InshaAllah I want my other son to start with Sheikh Nour as well. Hope this helps for anyone who is looking to get their kids to learn online.
Alhamdulillah this is a great place to learn Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. I took these three classes and gained a lot. They teach through zoom in one on one sessions where you decide the time and day. I used whatsapp as the communication and the coordinators were really responsive. For Quran, we would read the arabic together and then learn the tafsir. After that I would memorize the surah or a portion for the next class. For Arabic, it was a focus on vocabulary and conjugations of verbs. For Islamic studies you went through a text together. The teachers are really nice and you can ask anything. I found it enjoyable learning about a different culture as I was raised in America. Give it a try!
Real transformations from students who mastered the Quran with our courses
I took a course at Shaykhi Academy, and my name is Hamza Osama from England. During my time there, I learned the Arabic alphabet and Tajweed rules. I have also successfully memorized approximately two Juz of the Quran. My teacher was the best, and I feel I benefited a lot from him. I would advise anyone who wants to learn the Arabic language, Tajweed rules, or the Quran to join Shaykhi Academy.
I’m Yahia Sarhan, I’m 15 years old and I’m from Canada. I’ve been a student at Shaykhi Academy since 2019, so about three or four years now. It’s been a great learning opportunity for me and I’ve learned a lot about Islamic studies, the Quran, and Arabic reading. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who’s trying to learn.
